Wow- I just sat down at the computer right now while I wait for my water to boil for dinner and noticed that I hadn't written anything in two months!
I knew it had been a while, but 2 whole months!
I guess it's safe to say that these past two months have been really b-u-s-y...
A couple of weeks ago, we moved! Got out of the big, busling city of Allen and moved into a house out in the country. Yup, this town is SO country that it makes Allen seem big and busling! Today, in my search for stamps (at the post office), I got lost and redirected by the big ol' Mayor of town himself. Sadly, I recognized him from the city website, and even more sadly, I later felt like a bigshot for having had a 30 second conversation with the Mayor.
Between yesterday and today, I had to take Romeo to the vet, then to the groomers, then do the grocery shopping, then return to the groomers. Today, I had to take the car in for a diagnostic, then go to a different place for the same thing, then come home, and take Hamlet to the vet for his shots. Doesn't sound like much, but in these little errands of mine, I have driven through (and gotten lost in much of) about 10 different towns. Oh well, I guess I'll have no choice but to learn my way 'round these here parts.
Anyway, getting ready to move, actually moving, and now trying to get settled have been taking up all of my time lately. I don't know how people who work do it, seriously. Just dealing with having services transferred over to a new place was a huge, huge pain. And after all that hassle, I wasn't able to transfer ONE single bill over. My cable, internet, phone, electric, water, nothing.....So then the pain of starting up services with all these new companies and being home to meet the technicians (who "should arrive at your house on Tuesday, 2 weeks from tomorrow, between the hours of 7 am and 9 pm. Make sure that you're home because if you don't answer the door when they gently tap on it 2 times, you will be forced to reschedule your appointment, and the earliest available at this time is June 9, no wait, June 20. Now it's July 10."
So, after all of that crap, I STILL have no home phone and I already cut off my old phone. If you need (or want) to get in touch with me, use my cell phone. That still works as long as there are no more than 2 clouds in the sky and the wind is blowing no more than 2.5 miles per hour. seriously. If you don't have my cell phone ( I know, it changed several months ago) then email me at my NEW email address (of course I couldn't keep my old one after AT&T realized they don't provide service in this area). It's belle.flores@cebridge.net
Hopefully, this will be my email address for a long, long time because after the hassle that this move was, I plan on dying here!
