SICK! Ugh!

Hey~long time no blog, huh?
At least when I wait 6 months or so, there's stuff to actually tell.
But seriously, I am hardly ever on the internet once I get home. And if I ever am, it's to play poker or something.
Like today. I am stuck in bed with the freakin flu!
And I am not happy about it in the least. Yeah, I know no one is ever happy about having the flu, but it freaks me out more than the average person. Last time I had the flu was in the summer of 2003 and it was BAD. It turned into walking pnemonia, though I wasn't doing much walking, that's for sure. It lasted a little over a month, and that was the worst month ever. Imagine not getting one good nights sleep for that amount of time....I was a mess. And then I decided to share the nastiness with Art and our former friend Victor. I'm pretty sure that is why Victor is a former friend!
Anyway, with my not so functioning lung, my immunities are weaker than the average person so 3 day flu for anyone else is more like a 10 or 12 day flu for me. Though hopefully not this time.
I am actually feeling better for the first time in about 5 days this morning. Which is surprising after the rough night I had last night. I took my meds, went to bed early, and slept like shit. I was coughing all night which was making my head pound and I was on the verge of throwing up several times, it was horrible. So I was really surprised to wake up feeling decent about 10 this morning...maybe all that gunk last night was the flu checking out. Hope so! Get to steppin, we'll see ya in another 5 years! Hopefully by then, freaking flu medicine won't cost $75 a person!!

So anyway, what else has changed? Not much- we moved in the summer, got pretty much settled in, then I got a JOB! Yes, me, yes, a job....I started working at Marcos' school as the registrar, aka the "attendance lady". Back in HS, I had a really good relationship with our attendance lady, and that's probably the only reason I graduated! I never went to class, especially the 1st period of the day and the 1st period after lunch, but I always managed to get them excused because I was her grandson's babysitter! Gotta have those connections!

OK, well, I just lost my tournament (seventh place-woohoo!) so it's time for a nap now....

till later,
